Hello! My name is Drake Jensen and I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Galburt and Soranno Labs at Washington University in Saint Louis. My current research focuses on biophysical measurements of kinetics and protein conformational dynamics to understand the process of transcription initiation and its regulation in bacteria. In the future, I plan to shape my academic career around the transfer of information, both in studies related to genetic information encoded in DNA and to the passing of knowledge in effective teaching/mentoring approaches.
