Hello! My name is Drake Jensen and I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Soranno Lab at Washington University in Saint Louis. My current research focuses on biophysical measurements of kinetics, thermodynamics, and protein conformational changes and dynamics to understand the process of transcription initiation and its regulation in bacteria. In the future, I plan to shape my academic career around the transfer of information, both in studies related to genetic information encoded in DNA and to the passing of knowledge in effective teaching/mentoring approaches.
